The 32-bit version of the Windows 7 Home Basic version supports up to 4 GB RAM, and is limited to 1 physical processor. Home Basic Edition does not include Multi-Touch Support, Home Group, Windows Media Center, Encrypting File System, and Windows Virtual PC. Compared to Windows 7 Ultimate, Home Basic Edition does not have many features and programs.

The Home Basic edition of Windows 7 was designed for home PC users, and was targeted to be released in the developing world market.
